The Winelands brief is its own thing

The Cape Winelands is one of the densest concentrations of premium-positioned brands in South Africa. Wine estates competing with each other and against the rest of the world. Hospitality businesses trying to be the place people remember from their Cape trip. Tech and consulting firms growing internationally from Stellenbosch. The bar for "looks good" is unusually high.

We work with Winelands businesses where the strategy is the hard part — figuring out what to actually say in a category where everyone says the same thing about heritage, craft and quality. The visual craft follows; getting the positioning right is half the value.

For wine and food brands specifically, this often means tighter editorial work — labels, menus, hospitality collateral — alongside the broader brand and digital. We treat it as a single project, not as separate disciplines.

How we work remotely

The studio sits in the Garden Route, about four hours from Paarl and Stellenbosch. For most projects this changes nothing — strategy, design and build all run over remote tools with weekly check-ins. For projects where we need to be in your tasting room, restaurant, or hospitality space (photography, video, walk-throughs), we travel.

Most Winelands clients see us in person two or three times across a project — kickoff, one mid-project review, and launch. The rest is async.
