Design work for a design-literate market
Wilderness is small, but it is not simple. The town runs on hospitality – guest houses, lodges, restaurants, coffee culture – with a lifestyle-retail and wellness layer around it and a steady flow of visitors from Cape Town, Johannesburg and further afield. That visitor mix pushes the design standard up. Locals notice the brand of the corner cafe as much as the food, and travellers pick between operators on a phone screen before they arrive.
That is the market we work in. We build brand-and-website systems for Wilderness lodging operators, food and beverage businesses, wellness studios, outdoor and adventure brands, and the small design-driven retail scene that punches above its weight. We also work with owner-operated professional services businesses – lawyers, consultants, agencies – based in the area.
Every brief is quoted from scratch and led by strategy before craft. No template guest-house sites, no off-the-shelf logos.

FAQ
-
How far is Creature of Habit from Wilderness?
The studio is in Great Brak River, about 30 minutes from Wilderness along the N2 through George. In-person kickoff meetings, on-site shoots at your property, and quarterly check-ins in Wilderness or Wilderness Heights are easy to arrange.
-
Do you work with Wilderness guest houses and hospitality businesses?
Yes. Guest houses, lodges, small hotels, restaurants and the broader hospitality supply chain. Copy Book Projects – featured in the work above – is a Wilderness-based creative brand we built. Our approach for lodging and hospitality brands is honest imagery, direct-booking clarity, mobile-first speed and search discoverability.
-
Do you take on lifestyle and independent retail brands?
Regularly. Wilderness has an unusually design-literate small-business scene – lifestyle retail, cafes, wellness, outdoor and adventure operators. We take on the full brand-plus-website build and ongoing social systems for owner-run brands that want to punch above their size.
-
What does a project cost?
Every brief is quoted from scratch – no package prices. A typical brand-and-website build for a Wilderness small business lands between R45k and R150k depending on scope. Send us the brief and we will send back a proper proposal.
