Creature of Habit is a strategic creative studio based in South Africa. For anything related to your personal information, contact us at [email protected]. We are the "responsible party" under POPIA for the information described on this page.
02What we collect
We only collect personal information you choose to give us: your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you write in a message when you contact us by form, email or WhatsApp.
We do not buy data, scrape data, or collect information about you from anyone else.
03Why we collect it
One reason: to respond to your enquiry and, if we end up working together, to run the project. We do not use your information for marketing unless you ask us to, and we never sell or rent it to anyone.
04Where it goes
Messages sent through our contact form are delivered to our email via a transactional email service. Our website is hosted on Cloudflare. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations. Some of them store data outside South Africa; we only use providers with safeguards consistent with POPIA.
05How long we keep it
We keep correspondence for as long as needed to handle your enquiry or project, and afterwards only as long as the law requires (for example, financial records). If you want your information deleted sooner, ask and we will do it unless the law says we must keep it.
06Your rights under POPIA
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us processing it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time, at no charge.
If you are not happy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa: [email protected] or inforeg.org.za.

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We may use privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics to understand how the site is used; these do not identify you personally.
